Job Description: Customer Sales Representative

Austin Outdoor Power is looking for someone who enjoys the outdoors, has computer skills and  the ability to communicate and understand our customers needs in a fast paced environment.

The purpose of this position is to provide superior professional and courteous customer service to Austin Outdoor Power Equipment (AOPE) Customers. Responsibilities include Equipment Sales, Parts Lookup/Sales and Inbound Service Requests. Customer Service may be direct with the customer, by telephone and/or email. The position is full time and a salary plus commision pay structure.

Equipment & Parts Sales:
Training and assistance will be provided by key members of the AOPE Staff throughout the first 90 days of employment.

The employee is responsible for his/her ability to retain the information provided regarding all equipment within the Manufacturer's Product Line carried by AOPE. I.E. Key Manufacturers for AOPE, Equipment Models and General Specifications, Warranty Periods, Parts Search and Ordering, AOP Equipment Library for Extended Documentation and Accessories, In-house Computer Applications & Services. Ability to use the web as required for sourcing information to assist the customer in obtaining the service or item they were seeking assistance on.

The employee is required to have strong customer service skills and the ability to work with customers "face to face" on a daily basis with dedication to providing the customer with a favorable experience each and every time at AOPE.

Service Writer:
Assist as required with equipment loading and unloading of small equipment (up to 50 pounds) for inbound Customer Work Orders. Obtain and document accurate information as it relates to the customer contact, equipment model and serial number and a detailed description of the problem as stated by the customer. To be trained, to learn and understand AOP Service Policies as it relates to customer interaction at the point of check-in to eliminate any confusion on the work to be performed and/or the customer's expectations.

Customer Service:
Provide coverage of inbound calls and the ability to provide general customer assistance as required. Ability to escalate as needed to ensure the customer's request/inquiry is resolved with an accurate and time efficient manner. Outbound calls as required for Service Order updates and finalization.

General Duties:
All employees are required to assist with facility appearance, cleanliness and sales readiness. Maintain Daily and weekly Sales Floor inventory stocking, pricing and staging to ensure customer safety and general efficiency.

Requirements:
Excellent Customer Service skills and the ability to multi task in a retail oriented sales and service environment required. One year prior sales experience preferred, one year lawn and landscape business preferred and bi-lingual (Spanish) preferred. Basic knowledge of Lawn and Outdoor Power Equipment preferred.
